Main objective of the project was to raise awareness among students about environmental protection, especially recycling and pollution prevention. We wanted our students better understand environmental problems and learn how their everyday actions can help protect the environment. Another important objective was to encourage young people to become more active and responsible citizens who care about their local communities and the environment. Through different activities, workshops and discussions, students were able to share ideas and think about possible solutions to environmental challenges. Our team also intended to strengthen cooperation between students from different countries and build friendship and network between young people. Project gave students opportunity to learn about other cultures, traditions and perspectives. Additionally, the project aimed to develop students’ communication, teamwork, and language skills, especially English. Using creative methods like art activities and social theatre, students could express their ideas, work together and gain new skills.
We applied this project to give our students more opportunities to learn, develop new skills and become aware of environmental problems. Many of our students live in rural areas with limited access to cultural, educational and international activities. Limited public transport makes it difficult for youngsters to take part in activities outside their local area. Because of this, many students have little chance to participate in international projects. Another important need is that some of our students come from families with fewer opportunities. For them, travelling abroad or participating in additional educational activities is often impossible. Project created chance for these students to take part in international exchange and gain experiences that would be unavailable to them. The project addressed need to raise awareness about environmental protection and recycling among young people. Through art activities, workshops and discussions, students could better understand environmental issues and learn simple ways to reduce pollution and support recycling. Another need was to improve students’ soft skills. Working with students from another country helped them practice a foreign language and cooperate in international groups.
