Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data usageDigital skills and competencesOvercoming skills mismatch and addressing the needs of the labour market

Objectives

The objective of the project was to develop an approach to AI education for middle and secondary school teachers and to equip them with knowledge, tools and materials for working with students. The project aimed to support teachers’ digital competences, increase their readiness to discuss AI, its opportunities, limitations, risks and ethical and social implications. Another important objective was to prepare practical training materials and a skills framework that can be used after the project by schools, teachers and other educational institutions.

Background

The project addressed the growing need to prepare middle and secondary school teachers for the conscious, safe and responsible use of artificial intelligence in education. AI increasingly affects social life, the labour market and learning processes, while schools need practical tools and competences to introduce this topic in a way that is understandable for students. AI4Good was developed to support teachers in building digital and AI-related competences and to reduce the skills gap in AI education.
