The project aimed to strengthen Salta Fronteiras' capacity in adult environmental education by developing staff competences in innovative sustainability practices, updating educational programmes and promoting greater environmental awareness. It also sought to improve the practical application of this knowledge in the organisation's regular activities and within the local community of Felgueiras.
Salta Fronteiras Associação is a non-profit organisation based in Felgueiras, North Portugal, with 25 years of experience in non-formal education for young people and adults. In the course of its work, the organisation identified gaps in innovative sustainability knowledge and a need to update pedagogical methodologies. The Green Minds Clean Lives project addressed these gaps through the mobility of 12 staff members to specialised training in Turkey, at CEKDEV.
