Objectives

Despite being close to Bucharest (Romania's city with the most opportunities, these communities), the Sangov community (and the nearby areas) still faces a significant lack of educational options. Many local youths have limited opportunities. The main challenges they encounter include: = Youngsters from financially struggling families often have to start working at an early age (around 15 or 16) to support their education and complete high school. = Some come from families that don't value education much, making it hard for these young people to access learning opportunities because their families don't see the importance of education. = Others are from large families where older children bear the responsibility of caring for their younger siblings, limiting their own chances to pursue education or personal development. With this project, we aim to keep offering learning chances to these young people. Our goal for the next few years, up until 2027, is to create and offer various educational opportunities for them. This will support their personal and professional growth. In concret the aim of this project is to empower 25 young people aged 18 years old with fewer opportunities from the Snagov area by providing them with essential knowledge, life skills, and competencies that are beneficial to their personal and professional development. In order to achieve this aim we established the following objectives: OB1 - To provide 15 young people, aged 18, from the Snagov area with an educational experience through travel to at least 3 EU countries over the next 12 months, focused on learning about European history, heritage, and diversity, measured through post-travel evaluations and participant reports. OB2 - To develop and implement an online campaign over the next 12 months to promote inclusion and ensure equal access to travel opportunities for young people from all backgrounds, including those with fewer opportunities, measured by the number of participants, online reach, and engagement levels. OB3 - To promote sustainable and responsible travel practices among the 15 young people from the Snagov area by organizing 3 training sessions over the next 12 months, with awareness of environmental protection measured through pre- and post-session questionnaires. To achieve the above results, we aim to implement 3 mobilities. In each mobility, we will involve 5 young people with fewer opportunities and 1 team leader who will go on an educational journey in Europe for 12 days, as follows: = Mobility 1 - Art and Culture (tangible heritage) = Mobility 2 - Outdoor activities (football) = Mobility 3 - Outdoor activities (hiking and climbing)
