Objectives

Our HARMONATURE youth project idea was born from a collaboration among young individuals, including members of the Teachers Network Levice, who aimed to address environmental challenges and promote biodiversity conservation. The project sought to raise awareness about the importance of protecting nature and wildlife, particularly in the face of various threats such as habitat loss, overexploitation, pollution, and climate change. Inspired by ongoing initiatives, such as new laws in Slovakia aimed at protecting wild bears and EU policy goals for nature conservation, our project emphasized the need for collective action. Our activities engaged young people in practices that fostered harmony with nature, promoted mutual respect between humans and wildlife, and raised awareness about environmental issues and climate change. Using recreational, natural sport, and wellbeing activities as tools, our project attracted and educated young people while providing them with opportunities to connect with nature. We have created a page to show our activities, create dialogue and exchange on these topics, celebrating cultural and natural diversity: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61571785312047 Aligned with the objectives of the EU Youth Strategy, the project empowered participants to become active citizens, advocates for biodiversity conservation, and promoters of social inclusion and cultural diversity. Through informal learning and dialogue, participants improved their skills and competencies while fostering a deeper connection with nature and each other. The HARMONATURE youth project empowered young people to protect and preserve the environment, cultivate mutual respect and understanding, and promote sustainable living practices for the well-being of present and future generations.
