The aim of this project was to fulfill several objectives that we set out in cooperation with our partner organizations when creating this project. First and foremost, we sought to develop and further improve the debating skills and communication abilities of youth workers across the youth they work with. The aim was to promote structured and meaningful discussion that encourages critical thinking and helps young people to better express their thoughts, feelings, and opinions. Other objectives included discovering and using various discussion techniques, holistic techniques, and strengthening discussion skills—in particular by developing critical thinking, logical reasoning, and the use of logical argumentation, which could be immediately applied in practice and tested on project participants. In addition to introducing and applying discussion techniques, a partial goal of the project was to promote a healthy culture of communication and debate, where every opinion is welcome without prejudice, as well as healthy and constructive discussion on various topics, which was intended to contribute to open-mindedness, respect, and tolerance towards differences, other opinions, cultures, and customs.
