Objectives

Our project, "HARVEST: From Rural Life to European Discovery," aims to transform the lives of rural youth by providing access to European opportunities and experiences that would otherwise be out of their reach. Our overarching goal is to eliminate the economic, geographical, and social isolation that these young individuals face, empowering them to become active, knowledgeable citizens both within their communities and across Europe. +Expanding Cultural Horizons and Promoting Intercultural Dialogue: Our project seeks to overcome the cultural isolation experienced by rural youth by introducing them to the rich cultural diversity of Europe. Through travel and exchange, we aim to help them understand the world from a broader perspective, foster intercultural dialogue, and strengthen their European identity. This experience will not be a one-time event but the beginning of a lifelong journey of discovery and learning. As a result, these young people will come to appreciate diversity and become more active global citizens. +Strengthening Personal and Professional Development: We aim to support the professional growth of our participants by offering them opportunities to attend international agricultural fairs, where they will learn about innovative practices and sustainable farming techniques. These experiences will not only provide them with practical knowledge but also help build their confidence, resilience, and adaptability. By bringing this knowledge back to their communities, they will contribute to rural development and become young leaders promoting sustainable practices. +Combatting Social Isolation and Promoting Inclusion: One of the core goals of our project is to break the social and geographical isolation faced by rural youth. By facilitating travel and meaningful interactions with peers from different cultural and social backgrounds, we aim to promote social inclusion. Through new relationships and experiences, these young people will gain a broader perspective of the world and feel more connected both to their communities and the global society. +Connecting Rural Youth with European Opportunities: Many rural youth are unaware of the educational, professional, and mobility opportunities offered by the European Union. Through this project, we aim to raise their awareness and equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to take advantage of these opportunities. Furthermore, by the end of the project, participants will become Erasmus+ youth advisors in rural areas. They will inspire their peers, share their experiences, and inform others about Erasmus programs, thereby broadening the reach of these opportunities within their communities. +Raising Environmental Awareness: Our project also aims to educate rural youth about sustainable farming practices and environmental awareness. Through exposure to modern agricultural techniques and eco-friendly practices in Europe, participants will bring this knowledge back to their local communities, helping to spread environmental consciousness and promote sustainable agriculture. These experiences will empower the youth not only in their personal development but also in creating broader societal awareness about environmental issues. Leadership and Empowerment: We are committed to developing the leadership potential of our participants by offering mentorship and encouraging independence. We will motivate them to take active roles in their communities, sharing the knowledge and experience they have gained. These young people will return as more confident and capable leaders, ready to contribute to the social and economic development of their communities, becoming role models and mentors for their peers. Our project seeks to transform the lives of rural youth and enable them to become catalysts for change within their communities. By focusing on inclusion, cultural exchange, and sustainable development, we aim to empower these young people while contributing to a more connected, knowledgeable, and environmentally conscious European vision.
