The main objective of our project is to empower young people with fewer opportunities from Van, Türkiye, by providing them with access to international mobility through the DiscoverEU program. We aim to foster their personal and professional growth by developing key competencies such as intercultural communication, digital literacy, problem-solving, and social and civic engagement. From a youth work perspective, the project aims to: Promote social inclusion by giving disadvantaged youth the opportunity to engage in European cultural exchange. Enhance their employability by developing critical life skills through hands-on travel experiences. Encourage environmental awareness by promoting sustainable travel practices. Build self-confidence and resilience by involving participants in the planning, implementation, and dissemination of the project. Strengthen participants’ connection to European values such as diversity, unity, and solidarity, fostering a greater sense of European citizenship. By achieving these objectives, we aim to create a ripple effect where participants become advocates for youth mobility and contribute to their local communities by sharing their experiences and inspiring others to participate in similar initiatives.
