Objectives

The main goal of "Digital Literacy Frontiers" is to empower young people to critically assess media sources, identify and challenge fake news, and become informed and responsible digital citizens. This project is designed to enhance the digital literacy skills of youth, enabling them to navigate the complex and often misleading information landscape effectively. Enhance Critical Media Literacy: Equip participants with the skills to critically analyze media and recognize fake news. Through workshops and discussions, they will develop critical thinking to better interpret media messages. Promote Active Digital Citizenship: Encourage young people to use their media literacy skills for positive change, responsibly engaging on digital platforms to counter misinformation in their communities. Facilitate Intercultural Cooperation: Foster understanding and collaboration among youth from diverse backgrounds through activities that build teamwork, respect, and mutual cultural exchange. Develop Communication and Dissemination Skills: Provide participants with the tools to effectively communicate and disseminate media literacy knowledge using both traditional and digital channels. Ensuring Long-Term Benefits: Each of these objectives is interlinked with practical youth work practices that not only address the immediate needs of young people but also prepare them for long-term engagement with critical societal issues. By focusing on these objectives, "Digital Literacy Frontiers" aims to create a cadre of young individuals who are not only well-informed and media-savvy but also actively involved in shaping a more truthful and responsible media landscape
