Objectives

The Five Steps to Risk Assessment Vol. 2 project was built on the success of the first edition, which identified critical needs for youth organisations in managing crisis situations. The project aimed to equip youth workers with the skills and tools needed to effectively handle emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of young people and their communities. The key objective of this project was to enhance the capacities of youth workers by providing them with comprehensive training on risk assessment and crisis management. This included developing their competencies in problem-solving, conflict management, and emergency response to ensure that youth projects were delivered in a safe and supportive environment. By implementing this project, we aimed to: -Empower youth workers to manage risks and crises more effectively. -Create standardised guidelines and checklists that youth organisations could follow to ensure the safety of their participants. -Promote the role of youth workers as key players in supporting communities during challenging times. -Foster international cooperation by sharing best practices and creating a network of organisations better equipped to respond to crises. Through this project, we worked not only to protect participants in international activities but also to prevent social exclusion and discrimination during times of instability. Ultimately, Vol. 2 contributed to creating safer, more resilient youth projects and communities at local, national, and international levels.
