JongDOEK wants to give expression to the artistic ideas of youngsters and strongly believes that young people themselves know best how to do so. JongDOEK focuses on talent development and supports youngsters in their artistic growth. When JongDOEK started several years ago, it was still overseen by an outside coordinator. In the future, we will put the youngsters in charge; they will manage the daily operations of JongDOEK and help build the future of theatre in leisure time. JongDOEK is available for all youngsters with a passion for theatre in the whole of Flanders and Brussels. It is a accessible meeting place where tomorrow's amateur theatermakers can develop their artistic talents in a safe environment, where they are stimulated in their active citizenship by thinking and doing, and where they can build on their cultural awareness through exchanges with others.
