Objectives

The main objective of the project was, through the implementation of an international training course bringing together 35 participants from 7 countries – Bulgaria, Turkey, Italy, Portugal, Latvia, Romania, Serbia – to increase the competences of youth workers by providing them with knowledge and practical skills for the effective and responsible use of AI tools in their work. The project was aimed at building capacity for adaptation to the digital environment and the use of innovative approaches in working with young people. In this way, the project also aimed to increase the working capacity of both youth workers and the organisations themselves by providing them with knowledge and skills on how to use AI tools and by improving their digital competences, in line with the constant development of technologies and AI. The project had 4 main objectives: - Increasing the digital literacy of youth workers by providing practical skills for the effective use of AI technologies in their work. Participants developed competences for creating digital content (text, visual, video, audio, websites, communication campaigns, presentations), as well as for applying innovative tools in their daily practice. - Providing a supportive environment for cooperation and knowledge exchange among youth workers from different backgrounds and organisations. The project created a space for sharing experience, good practices and insights related to the use of AI, which contributed to the exchange of effective approaches and their adaptation and implementation in different national and organisational contexts. - Creating a digital toolkit (AI Toolbox), including practical AI tools and resources tailored to the needs of youth workers, including information about the type of tool, advantages, limitations, characteristics, options and tips. The toolkit was structured into four main categories: - tools for creating texts, posts, social media content and communication, - tools for visual content, - tools for audio and video content, - tools for website creation. These categories were identified as the most commonly used in the daily work of youth workers through a preliminary online survey among the partner organisations. After its creation, the AI Toolbox was translated into the languages of all partners (English, Bulgarian, Turkish, Portuguese, Italian, Serbian, Latvian, Romanian), in order to be more accessible and applicable in different countries and for participants with limited English language skills. The toolkit is available online for download in all 8 languages. - Identifying potential risks and ethical challenges related to the use of AI in youth work. The project encouraged critical thinking and responsible use of technologies by addressing topics such as data protection, reliability of content and ethical boundaries in the use of AI tools. As a result, the project contributed both to the professional development of the participants and to the creation of a sustainable resource and a basis for future cooperation between the partner organisations.
