By implementing this project, we aim to provide youth workers with knowledge, skills, and tools that will help them balance digital and social interactions in their work with young people. The "DiGiDetox" project seeks to address the growing need to develop digital competencies that are combined with the skills necessary to create meaningful social interactions and support young people in an increasingly digitalized world. Our main objectives include: Enhancing Youth Workers’ Skills in Digital Literacy and Critical Thinking One of the primary objectives of the project is to develop the digital competence of youth workers by training them on how to effectively engage with young people in a digital environment while fostering their ability to think critically and consciously use technology. The project aims to provide youth workers with strategies for balanced digital tool usage, enabling them to encourage mindful and healthy online behavior. Promoting Non-Formal Education and Personal Development for Youth Workers The project will support youth workers in developing innovative and non-formal educational methods. This will enhance the quality of their work and allow them to promote personal development and social skills among young people. The goal is to create training methodologies that will help youth workers improve their group work, communication, and motivational skills. Raising Awareness on Digital Dependencies and Well-Being The project aims to increase awareness among youth workers about the risks associated with excessive use of digital devices and the internet, as well as the impact on the emotional and physical well-being of young people. Tools and strategies for recognizing and preventing digital dependencies will be presented, with a focus on promoting healthy habits for digital use. Developing Emotional Intelligence and Skills for Working in a Social Environment Through the training and activities in the project, youth workers will acquire skills for effective group work, emotion management, and creating a supportive environment for young people. The project aims to strengthen youth workers' abilities to build trust, empathy, and positive communication with young people, which will support their personal and social development. Sharing Best Practices and Building Sustainable Partnerships The project aims to create an international network of youth workers and organizations who can exchange experiences and best practices in the field of digital well-being and youth work. This network will foster the sustainability of results and long-term collaboration between partners and participants, with the objective of establishing a community of professionals who continue to work together even after the project concludes. Creating Educational Materials and Resources for Youth Work The project will develop practical guides, training methodologies, and resources that youth workers can use in their work with young people. These materials will be freely accessible online, allowing for their use and adaptation to different contexts and target groups. This will contribute to the sustainability of the results and extend their impact. By achieving these objectives, the "DiGiDetox" project will contribute to improving practices in youth work, developing the digital and social skills of youth workers, and creating a sustainable network of professionals committed to supporting young people in finding a balance between the digital world and social interaction.
