The idea for this project arose during the implementation of our project "Active Sport Communities" during a discussion about the barriers that prevent young people from being more physically active. One of the barriers identified was the excessive time spent in front of screens and the epidemiologically increasing dependence on technology. Despite the adverse effects of digital technologies on people, they are part of modernity and progress and will not disappear. This gave rise to the idea that instead of branding them as something bad and harmful, it is better to look for ways to turn digital technologies from an obstacle to a means of increasing physical activity and promoting healthy lifestyles among young people. The ActiveU project deals with problems caused by internet abuse, digitization and technological addictions. It focuses on promoting healthy lifestyles, active aging and efficient use of technology. Objectives: 1. Training youth workers how to turn digital technologies from a potential barrier to a tool for increasing physical activity and promoting healthy lifestyles among youth; 2. Acquaint youth workers with the latest research and trends in the field of healthy lifestyles and different ways / develop strategies on how to use the power of social media to spread information among young people; 3. Development and implementation of strategies to deal with the problems, implementation of activities and initiatives at the local level to increase physical activity and promote a healthy lifestyle among young people; 4. Improving the quality and opportunities for training youth workers through the exchange of experience and good practices between organizations in a European and international context; 5. Promotion of Erasmus+ as a program that supports an active lifestyle and the construction of European values among young people and youth workers.
