The "SeaCycle" project has two main goals: raising awareness about climate change and promoting sustainable living among youth, and inspiring creativity through art made from unrecyclable waste. By transforming improperly disposed waste into sculptures, paintings, and functional art, the project aims to spread environmental messages through public displays and social media, encouraging others to do the same. The initiative addresses the European Environment Agency's concern about waste production and low recycling rates. The project promotes upcycled art as a creative way to draw attention to waste management, combining sustainability, innovation, resourcefulness, and symbolism to critique consumerism and inspire change. Key objectives include teaching participants practical skills for upcycling, increasing environmental awareness by at least 60% within the group and 40% in the local community, encouraging collaboration among diverse participants, promoting hands-on education through upcycling, and creating impactful art that encourages better waste management. The project also seeks to strengthen partnerships, reach people via social media, and create a sense of European unity among participants.
