Objectives

By implementing “Youth Empowerment in a Connected World”, we wanted to respond to a clear youth-work need: many young people are immersed in a rapidly digitalising society but lack the digital competences, media literacy, and online-safety awareness required to benefit from digital opportunities and protect themselves and others online. The project therefore aimed to strengthen young people’s capacity to participate confidently, critically, and responsibly in digital environments, using non-formal education in a multicultural youth exchange setting. KA152-YOU-997239B3 Main objectives of the project From the perspective of youth work practice, our objectives were to: KA152-YOU-997239B3 Equip participants with essential digital skills (practical competences for using digital tools effectively). Promote critical thinking and media literacy, enabling young people to evaluate online information and distinguish reliable content from misinformation. Raise awareness about online safety and cybersecurity, including prevention of cyber threats and harmful online behaviours. Develop responsible and effective social media use, supporting participants to build a positive digital identity and use social platforms constructively. Facilitate intercultural exchange and mutual understanding, by bringing together young people from different countries and digital realities. Build a sustainable network of like-minded partners and multipliers, supporting longer-term cooperation and wider impact beyond the exchange. Promote lifelong learning and adaptability, so participants can keep pace with ongoing digital change in their personal lives and employability pathways. KA152-YOU-997239B3 In short, the project’s intended achievement was to empower young people to navigate the digital world safely, critically, and productively, while strengthening intercultural competence and creating lasting cooperation among partner organisations
