Objectives

By implementing the youth exchange “Theatre of Legends” we were striving to make a positive change in the society by addressing the relevant issues of young people in the society through theatre and the performative art. The objectives we seeked to address were - to provide space for young people to improve their leadership skills, increase their competences to feel more power and influence they can make. We wanted to bring different cultures together from Western and Eastern Europe to share their Cultural legends and stories, to feel more solidarity with each other and share the local heritage. We were willing to connect the young people to show the power of connection as a resource to create a better world for all of us. We wanted to give the chance for fewer opportunities participants to gain new skills and competences to be able to improvise, to socialise and act in public which would add to their skills baggage and help in future employment. In addition to this we were seeking to open a hidden place in Pervolia, its historical architectural places and objects and through performative art create an interesting visual movement using the specifics of the place and show it to the audience from a different perspective. We wanted to attract attention of a common citizen and tourist to this place and show the core of it, we wanted to show the wider vision to the usual places through the performative action. What’s more - we wanted to practise performative and actors art for amateur youth to create performative picture and also to use this knowledge in social life in future, develop international contacts and ideas exchange among youth; to open and develop the talents of young people during the creation process. Furthermore, we aimed to reach the need of bringing the realities of youngsters from different cultures and thus economic and social conditions closer, which will enable us to show how resembling they are, how the issues in concern interexchange and are entwined. We aimed to improve the competences of young people to be more competitive when it comes to employment in future.
