The Academy of Young Citizens (AMOB) 2025 is a unique educational project that seeks to raise awareness of the Czech political system among high school students through informal educational methods. The project is organised using a peer-to-peer approach, where the organisers include high school and university students who learn important knowledge and competences together with the participants. Gender equality, freedom of opinion, and the involvement of students with different socio-economic backgrounds are ensured throughout the programme. The aim of the project is to strengthen civic competence, understanding of topical issues not discussed during formal education, personal contact with decision makers and connecting young active people with each other, which can boost their self-confidence to pursue other interest activities.
