The project “Roll the Dice for Knowledge!” is a youth exchange project that aims to gather 40 young people between 13 and 25 years old from 4 countries (Germany, Poland, Slovakia and Tunisia). The project will be implemented in Germany and Tunisia. The main objective of the project is to promote the personal, social, and educational development of young people by using games as a tool for non-formal learning. The project focuses on creativity and art, using various types of games to show alternative ways of gaining knowledge and developing key life skills. Through engaging activities, participants will enhance their teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities, while exploring new perspectives. The project also aims to foster cultural exchange, social inclusion, and inspire innovative thinking, empowering young people to learn in fun and creative ways. From the perspective of youth work practice, the "Roll the Dice for Knowledge" project focuses on helping young people grow personally, socially, and educationally through interactive, non-formal activities. Youth workers and leaders play a key role in guiding these activities, making the learning experience enjoyable and meaningful. Firstly, it aims to enhance young people’s soft skills and life-long learning. By engaging participants in board games, sports, and skill-oriented workshops, the project helps them develop essential skills such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking. These skills are crucial for both personal and professional growth and are often underdeveloped through traditional educational methods. Secondly, the project promotes social inclusion and cross-cultural understanding. Bringing together young people from Germany, Poland, Slovakia, and Tunisia, it creates opportunities for cultural exchange through traditional games and sports. This fosters mutual respect and understanding, while building a sense of solidarity among participants from diverse backgrounds. Supporting physical and mental well-being is another important goal. Recognizing the importance of both physical and mental health, the project encourages participants to stay active and build connections through face-to-face interactions. These activities improve social engagement and promote healthier lifestyles, especially in the post-pandemic context. Additionally, the project seeks to boost creativity and innovation. By allowing young people to develop their own games, it stimulates creative thinking and encourages them to explore innovative solutions. This process empowers participants to take ownership of their learning and apply practical knowledge in imaginative ways. The project also aims to bridge the gap between formal and non-formal education by using games as an educational tool to make learning more inclusive and engaging. It offers an alternative method to involve diverse learners who might not thrive in conventional classroom settings, showing that learning can be fun, interactive, and meaningful. Moreover, the project strengthens European values and solidarity, aligning with the objectives of the Erasmus+ programme. It emphasizes the importance of cooperation, inclusion, and solidarity by working together on common projects, helping participants from different cultures deepen their understanding of shared European principles. Finally, the project promotes youth empowerment and community involvement. By actively involving young people in designing and implementing the project’s outcomes, it encourages them to take on leadership roles and engage with their communities. Participants will share the results through social media and local events, spreading their knowledge and experiences to a wider audience. In conclusion, the "Roll the Dice for Knowledge" project aims to create a dynamic and supportive environment where young people can develop valuable life skills, foster cross-cultural understanding, and engage with their communities through fun, interactive activities. It helps them become more active, connected, and responsible members of society. What is important to mention, each game in the project will provide knowledge on a different topic. The day will follow a structured schedule: first, playing the game, then evaluating what participants have learned, followed by the practical application of the acquired knowledge, and finally introducing tools to help develop these skills. Each game and every day during both exchanges will focus on gaining new skills. Both parts of the project will equip young people with diverse knowledge, detailed in the attached schedule.
