Objectives

The project “Intercultural Learning for Lasting Peace” aimed to strengthen mutual understanding among young people with and without migration backgrounds and to promote intercultural learning as a key element of peacebuilding. The main objective was to bring together young people from different countries and cultural backgrounds to explore identity, stereotypes, prejudices, discrimination, empathy, cooperation and dialogue through non-formal education methods. The project specifically aimed to create a safe and supportive learning space where young people could reflect on their identities and roles in society, build self-confidence, and challenge the “we and they” mentality. A core objective was to introduce and practically apply the methods of Forum Theatre and Human (Living) Library as tools to break stereotypes and foster inclusive communities. Furthermore, the project aimed to inform participants about Erasmus+ opportunities and encourage their continued active participation in youth work.
