Objectives

The project "Youth in AI: Navigating the Digital World" is a youth exchange that aims to bring together 32 young people aged 13 to 25 (involving the 2 group leaders from each country with the age requirement of min. 18) from 4 countries (Germany, Poland, Hungary, and Türkiye) to reflect and create a guide for good digital habits and relationships in the digital space through AI and other online tools. The project will take place in Germany and Hungary, in the cities of Frankfurt (Oder) and Balatonakali. Through out the more than two weeks of activities, the participants will engage in various activities and actions. They will spend ten days in Frankfurt (Oder) and ten days in Balatonakali. The activities are designed to help young people better understand the impact of digital technology, AI and the online world. They will get to know each other, build a team, create a supportive and trusting environment, learn new digital skills, share knowledge and prepare workshops and other activities. This project aims to achieve several specific objectives: - Develop digital skills and attitudes such as self-reliance, digital awareness, cross-cultural online and offline communication and competencies in various digital fields and in life. - Raise awareness of digital rights and promote understanding and respect in the online and offline world. - Combat negative perceptions of specific groups, especially in digital spaces, among young people. - Develop critical thinking, strengthen their online and social networks and improve their digital literacy. - Change certain behaviors, such as intolerant or harmful actions in the online space. - Build positive and supportive relationships in their communities. - Empower young people to become responsible digital and offline citizens. We also aim to provide accessible opportunities for young people and support their willingness to create positive societal change through digital means. This will help improve their personal and cultural development. We expect that they will grow into more active and responsible digital citizens, promoting diversity and non-discrimination in online communities. The project also includes young people with fewer opportunities, for whom this project will be especially valuable. The impact of the project will be visible, considering the different digital environments between the communities involved. Our participants will have the chance to develop their skills and competences, their empathy, critical thinking and emotional intelligence. They will also create an exhibition offline and online to share what they have learned and how they see the digital world. In addition, we will focus on sharing and spreading information about digital mobilities and EU values with young people. They will learn how to create meaningful digital content related to diversity and multiculturalism and have the chance to showcase their work in an exhibition. The project will also improve their tolerance, self-confidence and leadership skills as they share knowledge and teach others. The methodologies for our activities will include interactive workshops, discussions and group projects that promote active participation and collaboration among participants. These approaches will encourage hands-on learning and facilitate the exchange of ideas and experiences. To measure the success of the project and its impact on participants, we will utilize a combination of surveys, pre- and post-assessments and qualitative feedback sessions, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation that informs future improvements and enhances learning outcomes.
