As one of the 21st century's biggest challenges, issues such as climate crisis, loss of biodiversity, pollution and depletion of natural resources increase the need for countries to develop sustainable policies. Policies to address these problems should therefore be initiated by countries as soon as possible and encouraged for other countries to implement them. The newly published Lancet Health and Climate Change Countdown 2024 Europe report reveals that countries are not taking sufficient political steps to protect their citizens from climate change. Many European countries continue to make large contributions to the increase in greenhouse gas emissions and continue to support fossil fuels despite their health hazards. The report also draws attention to the lack of enforceable policies on biodiversity loss and depletion of natural resources, and the inadequate implementation of existing policies. Based on this, the Green Policy Ambassadors project aims to overcome the lack of knowledge of young people on green policy development by using non-formal education methods, to raise their awareness of environmental problems related to the climate crisis and to increase their awareness of being part of the solution by being more involved in decision-making mechanisms. Our goals in line with this purpose; - Informing young people about the climate crisis through climate-specific workshops - Guiding and informing young people about green economy and entrepreneurship opportunities through workshops on topics such as Green Activism/Campaigning, Ecology, Green Economy - With workshops such as Food Policies, Urban Policies, Sustainable Agriculture, Participation in Decision-Making Processes; to ensure that young people are more involved in decision-making processes - Informing and raising awareness of young people about green policies through simulations and role-playing games - Brainstorming among young people about green policy making and individual solutions to the climate crisis - To chart the nations' environmental activism and policies - To ensure that young people adopt concepts like active participation, inclusivity, EU citizenship, and intercultural learning through non-formal education methods - To create a short film as part of the project to increase impact and awareness on a national and international level - To launch a website dedicated to the project to disseminate digital resources, such as information materials, posters, and brochures to be produced within the scope of the project; - To ensure that the logos of the European Commission, National Agency, and Erasmus+ program are visible in order to promote the opportunities they offer. In addition to these, everyone involved in the project shall adhere to the principles of equality and inclusivity. - Throughout the project, concerns of inclusivity and active involvement will be covered in every session. In casual training sessions, every individual will actively participate. - All workshops will foster the participants' inventive and creative tendencies. - There will be more collaboration between institutions. - Prejudice elimination and intercultural learning will be the topics of workshops and cultural events. - Information on environmental policies, activism, campaigning, green economy, green entrepreneurship, climate change and climate crisis will be given to each and every participant. - Youthpass basic competencies and resources that support growth in eight areas will be taught to participants. - Events involving all project partners will be attended by young people who have less chances. Young people with restricted options in terms of economy, geography, culture, and education, as well as those taking part in an EU project for the first time, will actively participate in the project using non-formal training approaches. - The main objectives of the EU, including addressing climate change, creating policies for youth and the environment, and environmental protection, will be discussed with the participants. Additionally, they will create solutions. - Each participant will have an equal voice during the workshops. Common ideals and citizen participation will be features of these sessions. They will engage in outdoor activities that foster intercultural learning and allow them to interact with locals. - Cooperation and awareness-raising initiatives for institutions will be devised, and local decision-makers will be visited. - The chance to practice in all partner countries' languages will be given to participants. Additionally, they will get more practice speaking English, the common tongue.
