The young people will make a statement -and set 'SIGNS!I n public spaces: lasting, self-effective, public, wild, creative, participatory, together as Europeans. On one hand, the participants will jointly design wooden sculptures and install them in public spaces. They will be trained in the use of heavy machinery and, very importantly for girls, will be able to use these machines independently. Sculptures will also be created using paint, wire, and concrete. In times of digitalization and isolation, working with one’s hands and processing wood serves as an intense counterbalance. Many young people can no longer imagine what manual professions entail. It is possible that some will be inspired to pursue a craft profession.
