Our project aimed to address the negative impacts of excessive digital consumption on the mental, emotional, and social well-being of young people. In an era where young individuals are constantly exposed to overwhelming information and social media pressure, we wanted to provide a space to disconnect from screens and reconnect with themselves and their communities. By combining digital detox strategies with creative arts, we sought to turn artistic expression into a tool for stress reduction and personal growth. Specifically, our objectives were: Educating on Digital Wellness: We aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical strategies needed to manage their digital consumption and understand the importance of digital detox for improved well-being. Fostering Artistic Exploration: We encouraged young people to engage with creative arts—such as painting, music, and dance—as powerful means of self-expression, emotional release, and mental clarity. Building a Supportive Community: We sought to create a strong, supportive network of young people committed to mindful living, fostering meaningful, real-world connections and solidarity among participants. Empowering Participants and Organizations: We intended to strengthen the capacity of both the participants and the partner organizations to advocate for digital wellness, ensuring these principles are embedded in their future work with young people.
