The project was rooted in the conviction that, in light of the numerous crises facing the world at the time, there was an increasing need for effective and expert-driven actions to encourage changes in both individual and collective behavior. This objective was pursued through education and raising awareness among young people regarding global socio-ecological issues. To this end, CAMBIO e.V. actively supported and promoted UNESCO's Global Citizenship Education (GCED) concept. GCED sought to inspire personal and social transformation through education, equipping people to address urgent global challenges. In several European countries, GCED has been integrated into school curricula and identified as a policy priority. However, youth workers and educators often felt unprepared or resorted to traditional teaching methods when attempting to integrate human rights and sustainable development into their practice. To drive meaningful change, the project utilized diverse communication tools, with art serving as one of the most impactful mediums. Art functioned as a powerful vehicle that transcended language, social, and age barriers, raising awareness of the struggles many faced globally due to unsustainable and inequitable production and consumption patterns. It engaged people in the fight for a more sustainable and just world. Art possessed the unique ability to evoke strong emotions, motivating individuals to act and mobilize against inequality. Building on these foundations, the project offered a non-formal learning opportunity for youth workers from five different European countries, enabling them to explore creative approaches to engage young people on global issues and inspire action toward a fairer, greener future. The objectives of this project were defined and executed as follows: 1. Empowerment through Creative Methodologies: Youth workers were equipped with creative tools and methodologies, particularly through art, to effectively engage young people on global socio-ecological issues and inspire them to take action. 2. Integration of GCED: The project promoted the integration of Global Citizenship Education (GCED) into youth work, fostering a deeper understanding of human rights, sustainability, and social justice among young people in Europe. 3. Dissemination and Awareness: The artistic outputs produced by participants were presented, promoting creative approaches to GCED, and raising awareness of the project's methodologies and impact to a wider public.
