Objectives

The Youth Work 2.0 project was developed in response to the growing need for digital competences, innovative educational methods, and modern approaches in youth work. Youth workers today work in a rapidly changing digital environment where digital tools, online communication, and creative digital methods are becoming increasingly important. Many youth workers and youth organisations need more practical knowledge and tools on how to use digital technologies in non-formal education, youth exchanges, workshops, and local youth activities. At the same time, youth work requires creativity, participation, intercultural learning, and interactive methods, which can be strongly supported by digital tools and information and communication technologies (ICT). The main objective of the project was to improve the digital competences and professional competences of youth workers and to support the development of digital youth work and innovative non-formal education methods. The project aimed to provide youth workers with practical knowledge, tools, and methods that they can use in their daily work with young people. Another important objective was to promote the exchange of good practices between partner organisations and youth workers from different countries and to strengthen international cooperation and networking in the field of youth work. The project also aimed to encourage creativity, innovation, and active participation in youth work by combining digital tools with non-formal education methods such as team-building activities, discussions, simulations, workshops, and project-based learning. Through learning by doing, participants explored various digital tools and platforms that can be used for communication, collaboration, presentations, digital design, project management, and interactive learning activities. Another objective of the project was to develop a concrete project result – an e-brochure that includes digital tools, workshop methods, and examples of activities that can be used in youth work. The e-brochure was developed as a practical resource for youth workers and organisations working with young people and will contribute to the sustainability and long-term impact of the project. The project also aimed to support the Erasmus+ Programme priorities, especially digital transformation, innovation in youth work, inclusion and diversity, participation, and improving the quality of youth work and non-formal education. Through international mobility, intercultural learning, exchange of experiences, and development of new methods and tools, the project contributed to strengthening the competences of youth workers and improving the quality of youth work activities in partner organisations.
