Objectives

Our START project was born after some of Ukibim e.V. team members participated some Erasmus+ projects and had brainstorming. Therefore we initiated our project idea. Our project addressed the urgent integration needs of young refugees, particularly those from Ukraine, who faced significant challenges in adapting to new environments. Our project adopted an approach by fostering collaboration among European partner organizations to enhance the social, educational, civic, and economic integration of young refugees. We gathered with our participants in Germany between 28 July - 6 August 2025 and implemented our activities successfully: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DNBi4bAtozk/?igsh=cXprd25ieHF3cDU2 After the training course, our participants also have done all the follow up and dissemination activities successfully: - https://www.facebook.com/groups/1400122464346015 - https://www.instagram.com/p/DOtce7LjdOw/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== Our key objectives included: -Equipping 25 participants including youth workers and educators with tools to improve their skills and knowledge, enabling them to better support young immigrants in various aspects of community life. -Developing the capacity of 8 partner organizations to provide targeted support in language acquisition, education, job training, and cultural adaptation. -Exchanging knowledge and best practices among partner organizations to create a toolbox that enhanced support services for young refugees. -Fostering cultural integration programs that helped refugees navigate cultural differences, thereby reducing social isolation and promoting mutual understanding through non-formal education. -Creating and strengthening social networks for young refugees by organizing peer-to-peer events, mentorship programs, and community-building activities to enhance emotional well-being and integration. The project aligned with the EU Youth Goals, promoting social inclusion and equal opportunities. By raising awareness and fostering an inclusive environment, it addressed the multifaceted challenges faced by young refugees in Europe. The collaborative nature of the project ensured that best practices were shared, creating a more effective support network that was essential for fostering a cohesive and inclusive environment where young refugees could thrive.
