"Inclusion Matters" is a Training Course project which aims to equip youth workers/leaders with the knowledge and skills necessary to promote integration and inclusion of disadvantaged youth, especially refugees and immigrants. There is a growing population of disadvantaged youth, including refugees and immigrants, who face challenges related to education, employment, and social inclusion in our partner countries. Many organizations and educators working with these youth lack the necessary resources and tools to effectively address their integration needs. This project aims to bridge this gap. With participating organizations from different European countries, there is an opportunity to exchange knowledge and best practices, leading to a more comprehensive approach to integration. The aims of our project are: -To create a Toolbox during the training course which includes best practises, games, activities, methods and solution suggestions for the integration and inclusion of disadvantaged youth, especially refugees and immigrants - The project seeks to foster a culture of inclusivity and diversity within communities. -Develop new concrete projects about project topic to be applied under Erasmus + Programme. -To visit refugees, local institutions, NGOs, meet politicans and have opportunity to ask questions learn from their experience and exchange knowledge To achieve the aims of this project 32 participants from 6 countries will come together where they can share their knowledge and experiences in this training course. Our project aims to dismantle stereotypes about refugees on both the global and local scales. We will delve into the complex interplay of social, political, economic factors, and armed conflicts to shed light on the genuine reasons behind immigration. It is crucial to underscore that refugees are not accountable for their circumstances. In the context of our project, we intend to engage in discussions about the positive aspects of immigration, considering its social, economic, and cultural implications. We will critically evaluate the detrimental impact of human smuggling networks and examine the motivations, methods, and necessities behind refugees resorting to illegal travel. We will highlight that the cost of excluding immigrants and refugees from society can far outweigh the efforts required for their integration. Exclusion may lead to increased violence, crime, and limited access to education. We will also deliberate on whether integration might contribute to higher immigration rates. Our project seeks to enhance participants' cultural awareness and understanding of different countries, fostering international networking opportunities.
