The Wiesbaden Youth Conference is a two-day youth forum at which up to 130 young people, supported by professional moderators, experience democracy. The aim of the conference is to combine an leisure time event with concrete local political participation and to integrate the local administration as support. Therefore, the youth conference has both: educational and integrative components, such as spending the night together, eating together, and spending leisure time in the evening, as well as political components. The young people are encouraged in a very free form of moderation to formulate their own requests for changes and find solutions for them. The participants will form working- and expert groups and will continue to work - supported by the municipality of Wiesbaden - on their project ideas after the youth conference.
