The European Youth Parliament in Germany (EJP) has set itself the mission of providing young people with a space where they can actively engage on socio-political issues, develop visions for shaping the future of Europe, and discuss these visions with their peers. Both the participants and the volunteers working on the events are empowered to form their own opinions and actively participate in socio-political life by the interactive and non-formal political education on European issues which is provided during the event as well as throughout the preparation process. The project promotes the exchange of young people from different countries and equips them with skills that prepare them for a long-term commitment to Europe and international cooperation. This project places a special focus on intersectional-feminist issues and thus perspectives that have historically been excluded.
