As part of the "Strengthening Europe and Democracy in Saxony" project, young people are given the opportunity to discuss and learn about democracy, the EU (in everyday life) and their opportunities in Europe. As part of democracy events, mostly at schools, the participants experience participation on site and enter into dialogue with decision-makers at certain points. To ensure that these events take place, the organisation trains young teamers who, together as Junior Team Europe, reach young people using the peer-to-peer approach and non-formal education methods. They bring their own experiences to the events and use non formal methods and moderation to encourage the participants to get involved. In this way, they gain experience in educational work and become multipliers for democracy, the EU and participation. This work has become even more important, especially in Saxony.
