The project was specifically aimed at “efterskoler” in Denmark, with the hope of raising awareness about the EU among this group and providing them with a better understanding of how the EU affects their daily lives. In that sense, the overall goal is to foster a well-informed and engaged group of young people who are motivated to actively participate in European discussions and broader societal issues. The project was structured around non-formal learning methods, with activities facilitated by young facilitators. In total, there were 12 activities conducted across the efterskoler, divided into two rounds. In addition to the on-site activities at the schools, a key objective of the project was to gather extensive teaching experiences, concrete learning activities, and insights. These were compiled into a teaching compendium on the EU, emphasizing interactivity, while also fostering interest and engagement among efterskole students to participate in EU-related debates in the future.
