We aimed to ensure representation of all young people in Aalborg Municipality in the Youth Council, thereby creating a stronger youth democracy in Aalborg Municipality. It was important that all young people were represented, as this would help ensure the best possible municipality for everyone. Therefore, young people from the Youth Council developed a strategy and plan for how the recruitment process could reach all educational institutions relevant to the target group, and how everyone in the target group could be encouraged to run for the Youth Council. The recruitment process concluded with an election for the Youth Council and a large event where the new Youth Council was appointed, and we celebrated the Constitution Day.
