By implementing this project, we wanted to create a meaningful learning experience where young people could reflect on the role of social media in their lives and better understand its impact on their mental and physical well-being. The project addressed a growing need among young adults to find balance in a highly digitalised world and to develop healthier habits related to social media use. The main objective was to raise awareness about how social media can affect self-esteem, mental health, and physical activity, while supporting participants in developing a more conscious and balanced approach to their digital habits. Through non-formal learning methods and peer-to-peer exchange, participants were encouraged to share personal experiences, reflect critically, and learn from one another in a safe and supportive environment. In addition, the project aimed to promote well-being by combining reflective workshops with physical and outdoor activities, highlighting the connection between mental health, movement, and time spent offline. Another important objective was to foster intercultural learning and active participation by bringing together young people from different countries and backgrounds. By the end of the exchange, participants were expected to gain greater self-awareness, practical strategies for healthier social media use, and the motivation to transfer their learning to their local communities.
