Objectives

The Youth Eco-Revolution project aimed to tackle the urgent need for increased environmental awareness and sustainable practices among young people across Europe. Recognizing the growing concerns about climate change, resource depletion, and environmental degradation, the project created a collaborative and supportive environment where participants could learn, share, and develop practical solutions to these challenges. Through interactive workshops, group activities and different non-formal methods, we provided a platform for young people to explore the causes and consequences of environmental issues while empowering them to take active roles in promoting sustainability within their local contexts. Our core objective was to engage 42 participants from six countries in meaningful dialogue and hands-on experiences, equipping them with knowledge about climate change, renewable energy, and sustainable resource management. Using non-formal education methods, the project helped participants develop practical skills for designing and implementing eco-friendly action plans in their communities. The initiative also fostered intercultural exchange and international cooperation, encouraging participants to work together across borders and use digital tools to share their results and inspire wider audiences. By nurturing environmental responsibility, leadership, and teamwork, the Youth Eco-Revolution project empowered young people to become agents of positive ecological change, fostering a sense of ownership over their local environment and contributing to the broader European sustainability agenda. The specific objectives of the project were: O1: To deepen participants’ understanding of environmental issues, including climate change and sustainable resource use. O2: To develop participants’ capacity to create and implement practical sustainability action plans within their communities. O3: To promote international cooperation and intercultural learning through youth exchange and collaborative activities. O4: To raise awareness of Erasmus+ opportunities and encourage youth engagement in environmental initiatives across Europe.
