The project “Double Check” was designed to address one of the most pressing challenges of the digital era — the spread of misinformation and the need for critical thinking among young people. Its main objective was to empower youth to become responsible digital citizens, able to identify, question, and counter misinformation in their daily lives. Through non-formal education, creative workshops, and intercultural learning, the project aimed to: • Develop participants’ media literacy and critical thinking skills. • Raise awareness about how digital content can be manipulated and how false information spreads online. • Encourage responsible online behavior and ethical communication. • Foster cooperation, mutual understanding, and European solidarity among young people from different backgrounds. By achieving these goals, Double Check sought to promote active citizenship, inclusion, and respect for shared European values such as democracy, equality, and human rights.
