The Step into Paralympic project is designed to address the need for greater understanding and empathy towards individuals with disabilities, daily lives but also sports perspective. By building on the foundation laid by the "Step into a (dis)ability" project in collaboration with Paralympic Athletes, our aim is to create an immersive experience where young people can step into the shoes of individuals with disabilities and gain firsthand insights into the challenges they face on a daily basis. We recognize the marginalized status of people with disabilities in society and seek to combat stereotypes, stigma, and discrimination through experiential learning and engagement. Our project aims to foster solidarity, acceptance of differences, and diversity, while also empowering individuals with disabilities to share their perspectives and skills with others. Through workshops, activities, and interactions with Paralympic athletes, we aim to reduce fear of difference and promote inclusivity. Ultimately, our project seeks to not only raise awareness but also to inspire real change in education and societal attitudes towards disability, demonstrating the transformative potential of youth exchanges and the Erasmus+ program.
