The project aimed to strengthen the capacity of Deaf youth workers and Deaf-led youth organisations to independently access and manage Erasmus+ funding. Across Europe, Deaf youth organisations often demonstrate strong practical experience in organising camps, exchanges and youth activities, but face structural barriers when navigating complex funding systems due to linguistic inaccessibility and limited exposure to application processes. The main objectives were therefore to demystify the Erasmus+ programme, increase understanding of its structure and evaluation logic, and develop practical competences in drafting project applications. The project also aimed to strengthen skills in project management, including budgeting, planning and evaluation. In addition, it sought to promote cross-border cooperation within the European Deaf youth sector and to reinforce the professionalisation and recognition of Deaf-led youth work. By delivering the training fully in International Sign and embedding accessibility as a core principle, the project aimed to create an inclusive European learning environment in which Deaf youth workers could build confidence, knowledge and autonomy in accessing Erasmus+ opportunities.
