Purpose of the plan The design and construction of a public space (schoolyard) for youth using participatory design and decision-making tools, with local young people, partners, and stakeholders, such as the Municipality of Thermo and the local community. The project aims to create a green space where youth and locals can meet, grow food sustainably, and educate themselves on environmental issues in a lively public space. The objectives of the project are multi-faceted and varied. - the activation of young people, some of them with fewer opportunities to take initiatives and support of participation in democratic life and extension to participatory action - the activation, development of participation with a European dimension of young people and young people with fewer opportunities that will design & construct a public space to meet, create food & educate. - familiarizing young people with the use of creative-based non-formal learning tools & design thinking.
