Objectives

All the people who make up our society, with our different realities, with our different colors and nuances, are important, worthy of respect and make up an essential part of a “something”, which is the real world that we inhabit. The color festival 2.0 offers us the opportunity to “grow” as people, since from respect for the environment and who we are, with our "varied colors"; we are going to give ourselves the opportunity to get to know other cultures, other very different realities, other nuances, that help us deepen our respect for all people, and for ourselves. The color party 2.0. is a youth exchange project that was born between the Ekhi Youth Association, at a time of important generational change, and the youth group of the Lejasstrazdi Center, in Latvia. The general objective that we set for ourselves in this project is: -Promote mobility for non-formal and informal learning and active participation among young people in our entities, in terms of inclusion and respect for diversity, environmental sustainability, participation and civic commitment and strengthening our European identity. Regarding the specific objectives they are: -To get to know the different cultures that make up this diverse group and integrate them, through coexistence, respect and acceptance of each of the small details that make us different and therefore unique. To work for equality based on difference. -To become aware of the differences in the way of life of the two groups of young people who are going to participate in the exchange, valuing the positive and making us more aware of the difficulties we have to overcome in order to achieve a fairer society and a fairer coexistence. -To make the young participants aware of the enormous value of our natural and environmental surroundings, of the need to live in harmony with nature, to feel it, respect it and try to protect it as best we can, since respect for the environment teaches us to respect and care for ourselves. - Live in a very different reality than usual and in different conditions (language, comforts, etc.) and enrich ourselves and grow as people thanks to this experience. - Promote, through non-formal and informal education, positive attitudes and values for the development and personal growth of all the young people who are going to participate in the exchange: equality, respect, tolerance, non-discrimination, solidarity, freedom, cooperation, enthusiasm, etc. - Learn to work as a team and promote youth participation and the commitment of all the people who are going to participate in the exchange, ensuring that the result is the merit and/or responsibility of the entire group. - Strengthen our 2 entities: achieve generational change in the Ekhi Youth Association and promote the empowerment of the group of young people in Latvia. Learn how to carry out a good project and obtain means for its financing, which will undoubtedly give strength to our groups and will have a positive impact on the social life and youth participation of our places of residence (Latvia and Huarte). -Try to have a good time and create an atmosphere of trust that makes this exchange an unforgettable life experience for all the people who participate. - Make other young people aware of the Erasmus + Program and all the possibilities it offers, reinforcing our European feeling.
