Objectives

The Youth Exchange “Cultural Interconnection between Contemporary Circus and Land Art” aims to enhance the active participation of participants throughout the project. Our intention is for participants to become aware of the options they consider for the development of their personal and professional lives, as well as the expansion of their knowledge of communication and expression. The project has several key objectives focused on raising awareness and empowering participants. One of the main purposes is to raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation, biodiversity and the challenges facing the environment, highlighting the need to preserve nature. Through the artistic practice of Land Art, we seek to encourage creativity, allowing participants to create works in harmony with the environment using natural materials. In addition, we try to promote collaboration and teamwork, as well as the active participation of all members, through group dynamics and group reflection workshops, strengthening social and communication skills among young people. The exchange also offers a space for intercultural exchange, where participants can share and learn from peers, enriching their personal experiences. The project not only aims to motivate young people to apply the knowledge acquired in their environment, contributing to sustainability in their communities, but also enhances their personal growth, strengthening their self-confidence and self-esteem through self-expression. Likewise, we work on developing leadership skills, empowering them to lead future initiatives on environmental and artistic issues in their local communities. The project raises a greater respect for nature in participants, inspiring them to adopt more sustainable living practices and enabling them to actively get involved in projects that promote environmental awareness. By adopting these measures, the exchange between different countries aims to become an effective platform to strengthen social ties through appreciation and protection of the shared environment. Our main objective is to address the challenges derived from global interconnection, particularly in the context of the European Union and migratory movements. These phenomena require us to face a multiple and diverse reality, from the principles of equality, respect for human and childhood rights, as well as the values of Europeanism. The purpose is to prevent prejudices and discriminatory attitudes, promoting inclusion and social cohesion among young participants. The young participants will be able to explore, investigate and propose activities based on themselves to develop these concepts from inclusion and acceptance, making the most of the experience. Furthermore, we recognize the internal diversity present in any society, linked to factors such as ethnicity, gender, age, beliefs, identity and sexual orientation, as well as the functional situation of people. In this sense, one of the main objectives is to promote the development of attitudes based on respect, tolerance and inclusion, creating learning spaces where all participants can feel valued and represented, contributing to a more equitable and fair society. Prior to the start of the coexistence, we will hold exchange sessions where participants can actively get involved in the preparation of the activities. This participatory approach will allow them to suggest alternatives that align with their interests and motivations, ensuring that activities reflect their concerns and are developed in a more personalized way. This prior process will not only foster a better environment during coexistence, but will also allow young people to feel like an active part of the project, since the activities will be designed based on their interests in a collaborative manner. Involving participants from the beginning increases their sense of belonging and commitment to the actions, which makes the experience more enriching and satisfying for everyone. This methodology provides them with practical tools and resources such as audiovisual content, which can expand their opportunities in the workplace. At the end of the project, young people will receive the YouthPass certificate, which not only recognizes the skills acquired, but also opens doors to future professional and educational opportunities.
