Objectives

This Erasmus+ project between Urretxu and Schwarzenbruck, framed within the Sormonak 2024 creative contest, has as its main goal the holistic development of adolescents through creativity, cultural exchange, and the use of digital tools. It provides young people with an environment where they can explore ideas, collaborate, and learn not only about creative disciplines but also about themselves and their place in society. A central focus is to foster creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration among teenagers. In this safe space, they will be able to experiment without fear of failure, allowing them to gain the confidence needed to try new ideas and develop an innovative and critical mindset, essential for their personal and professional growth. The project also aims to strengthen or awaken creative interests in young people, helping them discover new disciplines or deepen their involvement in those they are already passionate about. In addition to developing artistic skills, they will find new forms of personal expression that will connect them more deeply with their emotions and others. Another key objective is to boost the participants' self-esteem and sense of responsibility. By taking an active role in shaping their future, they will be encouraged to make decisions and learn from both their successes and failures, promoting greater self-awareness and responsibility for the impact their actions have on society. Additionally, the project seeks to create and promote opportunities for adolescent creativity by ensuring that all young people, regardless of their background, have access to the necessary resources to develop their ideas and explore their creative potential. The project also focuses on showcasing the creative talent of adolescents, providing them with a platform to present their work to a broader audience, strengthening their connection with the community, and offering recognition and feedback that will support their development as creators and individuals. One of the key aspects is to establish relationships with local, national, and European role models in various disciplines, facilitating the creation of long-term support and collaboration networks. This will open up new opportunities for the personal and professional development of the young participants. The project also seeks to project a positive image of adolescence, highlighting the creative capabilities of young people and their potential to contribute to social well-being. It aims to counter negative stereotypes, showing teenagers as agents of change capable of offering innovative solutions to social and cultural challenges. It is crucial to understand the interests and needs of adolescents. By listening to their opinions, the institutions involved will be able to adapt their policies and resources to better support their development. Including their voices in decision-making will ensure more inclusive policies tailored to their real needs. The Erasmus+ component also promotes cultural exchange, personal development, and the building of lasting relationships among young people across Europe. Through intercultural exchange, learning will be enriched, and solidarity among adolescents from different contexts will be fostered. This project not only promotes creativity but also encourages self-awareness, helping teenagers to better understand their strengths and the impact they can have on society. Personal reflection will be key in enabling them to recognize their role in the world. Furthermore, productive digital skills will be developed to collaborate on creative projects across various fields, whether cultural, technological, social, or economic. Through workshops and activities, adolescents will learn how to use technology to work on projects remotely and share their ideas with a wider audience. Lastly, the project will address healthy digital competencies, focusing on building relationships and networks with other young people across Europe. In an increasingly digitally connected world, adolescents will learn to manage their online interactions in a respectful manner, promoting empathy, cooperation, and respect in their virtual communications.
