The primary objective of the project "Empowered we decide: participation and equity" is to empower young people by equipping them with the necessary tools and knowledge to recognize and apply differential approaches, especially focused on gender equity, in their participation within decision-making processes. This empowerment aims to make participation more inclusive and accessible to all, particularly for young people with fewer opportunities, such as those from ethnic minorities, rural areas, or facing other social or economic challenges. From a youth work practice perspective, the project seeks to: 1- Foster equitable participation: Ensuring that all young people, regardless of gender, ethnicity, or socio-economic background, have access to meaningful participation in their communities and decision-making processes. 2- Raise awareness and challenge societal norms: Engaging young people in discussions around gender stereotypes, traditional gender roles, and barriers that restrict participation, while encouraging them to challenge these norms in their local contexts. 3- Provide practical tools and strategies: Offering youth workers and participants methodologies for applying differential approaches (recognizing the specific needs of marginalized groups) in youth engagement activities, making them more inclusive and responsive to diverse needs. 4- Encourage active civic engagement: Empowering young people to take on leadership roles in their communities, fostering a sense of agency and responsibility, particularly in addressing gender inequality and other forms of discrimination.
