Objectives

Our main goal is to raise awareness among young people about the current issues in the fashion world, as well as to empower them through education on sustainability and circular fashion, providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge to become agents of change within their communities. To achieve this, we will focus on the following points: We will expose young participants to the severe environmental and social consequences of the structures that sustain the current fashion industry. Through talks and practical activities (upcycling workshops, clothes sharing, etc.), we aim to help them develop a critical and responsible approach to clothing consumption and production. We will foster young people's creative and technical skills in sustainable fashion through a series of practical workshops. Our goal is for them to learn how to apply eco-design methods and material reuse, equipping them to create innovative, unique, and sustainable products. This experience will not only encourage them to explore their creativity and boost their confidence but also provide them with skills they can apply in other areas of their personal and professional lives, contributing to their holistic development. We will create an inclusive environment where young people can express themselves freely through fashion without fear of being judged for their physical appearance or personal style. We will encourage self-expression, acceptance, and mutual respect, and we will work to challenge the stereotypes and prejudices that exist around fashion and appearance. At the end of the project, we expect the participants to share their knowledge and skills with other young people, promoting sustainable practices at the local level and thus generating positive change in their communities. All these points are designed not only to provide young people with an enriching experience but also to create a lasting impact on their lives and the communities they belong to, fostering sustainability in fashion and building a fairer world. The specific objectives of our project are as follows: 1. Generate knowledge about the problems caused by fast fashion in Europe, both environmentally and socially. 2. Promote alternatives to consumption that encourage the search for personal identity while respecting the environment. 3. Raise awareness about the lifespan of clothing in contrast to disposable culture. 4. Increase self-esteem and encourage the search for identity within a free, non-judgmental environment. 5. Promote freedom of expression and creativity. 6. Foster good practices among young people to encourage more sustainable habits. 7. Provide basic knowledge on sewing, recycling, and upcycling. 8. Raise awareness about existing alternatives in Europe that promote sustainability in the fashion industry.
