Objectives

Through the AGRICOOL project, we aim to address several contemporary challenges related to health, environmental sustainability, and youth empowerment, with the goal of providing young people with the tools and knowledge necessary to become agents of change in their communities. From the perspective of youth work, we want participants not only to familiarize themselves with sustainable agricultural practices but also to understand the importance of these practices for the future of their communities and the planet. One of the main objectives is to foster awareness and education on sustainable agriculture. We want young people to understand the benefits of local food production and learn environmentally friendly agricultural methods. Through educational and practical activities, the youth will gain skills that they can apply in their communities, promoting sustainable practices in their local environments. Another objective is to promote healthy lifestyles among young people. In youth work, it is crucial to teach habits that contribute to both their physical and mental well-being. AGRICOOL will focus on educating participants about the importance of a balanced diet and adopting an active lifestyle. By providing participants with the necessary tools to improve their dietary and physical habits, we will contribute to the prevention of chronic diseases and the promotion of a better quality of life. The project also aims to revitalize rural areas by involving young people in local agricultural projects. From a youth work perspective, it is essential to connect young people with their rural roots, encouraging their engagement in their communities and empowering them to contribute to the economic and social development of these areas. Additionally, by involving the youth in creating the content of the project, we promote their sense of responsibility and ownership over the process, allowing them to develop leadership and decision-making skills. Through AGRICOOL, we aim for young people to develop competencies in sustainability, agriculture, health, and community empowerment, enabling them to become key actors in the development of their communities and contributing to long-term environmental sustainability.
