The primary objective of the project "Unplugged" is to train youth workers to effectively raise awareness and combat discrimination and hate speech on social networks. By doing so, they will return to their communities equipped to influence and guide young people toward more inclusive online behavior. The specific objectives of Unplugged are as follows -O1 - To strengthen youth workers' competences to tackle discrimination and hate speech: 16 international youth worker will work together to create and implement an awareness campaign to tackle online discrimination. The course will include a one-week mobility experience where participants will undergo a digital detox, enabling them to reflect on their online behaviour and implement healthier habits in their youth work practice. -O2 - Building long term international partnerships: the project will promote direct collaboration between the 4 partner organisations to share knowledge and promote future joint initiatives in the fight against discrimination. -O3 - Empowering local action through awareness-raising campaigns: The 16 youth workers will implement a local awareness-raising campaign in their respective countries, involving at least 20 young people from each community. These campaigns will raise awareness about online discrimination and hate speech and promote more inclusive behaviour using non-formal education methods. -O4-The project will launch an international media campaign called the 'Comfort Phone Challenge', encouraging young people to take part in a digital detox experience. This campaign will be disseminated in partner countries to raise awareness and promote healthier online interactions. -O5 - Producing resources for a wider audience: A comprehensive report documenting the preparation, implementation and results of the campaign will be published. This report will serve as a resource for youth workers and organisations across Europe to replicate similar awareness-raising campaigns in their own regions.
