By implementing the project, the key objectives we want to achieve are the following: 1) Enhance participants' understanding of the environmental consequences of waste: The project aims to improve youth workers' understanding of environmental challenges, particularly waste management and its impact, enabling them to spread awareness among young people in their communities. 2) Foster collaboration and exchange of best practices among the participants: Youth workers from different countries will collaborate, sharing effective strategies and tools for environmental education, building a strong international network of environmentally conscious leaders. 3) Develop practical tools and resources to effectively educate and engage young people on the topic: The project seeks to create practical tools and resources that youth workers can use to educate and engage young people on environmental topics, especially waste management and sustainability. 4) Promote outdoor education as a key method for environmental awareness: By incorporating outdoor activities, the project promotes experiential learning as a method to engage youth with environmental conservation and protection. Such a learner-centred approach adds reality and practical experience to the education process, and provides an opportunity to gain an appreciation of the environment through direct contact with it. 5) Organize a beach cleanup: By conducting a beach cleanup activity, the project provides participants with a tangible experience of environmental protection. This activity will not only directly impact the environment but will also demonstrate how to engage young people in meaningful, hands-on conservation actions. 6) Build a network of environmentally conscious Youth Leaders: The project aims to establish a network of youth leaders who will continue to share knowledge, collaborate on future initiatives, and lead environmental actions in their communities. From a youth work practice perspective, the project strives to equip youth workers with the skills, knowledge, and resources they need to effectively promote environmental awareness and foster youth engagement in sustainability practices, ensuring that the impact of the project extends beyond the immediate participants to their local communities and networks.
