Objectives

We believe this partnership-building activity can be a great start to help address some of the key skills challenges that Europe is currently facing and develop international capacities of youth organisations closely working with the topic of the youth entrepreneurship, especially in remote areas, where is not so many opportunities for it. Entrepreneurship in general, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), has been the European economy's lifeblood. Small and medium-sized enterprises represent 99% of all businesses in the EU. SMEs bring innovative solutions to challenges like climate change, resource efficiency and social cohesion and help spread this innovation throughout Europe's regions. Yet, we still witness widespread unemployment, especially among young people who find it more and more challenging to access ever-changing labour markets. This problem has been aggravated, given the current context concerning after effect of the pandemic situation where young people face frustration and disempowerment, low self-esteem, low motivation, cynicism and radicalisation. Surveys show that entrepreneurs worry they might not have an opportunity anymore (we refer to the McKinsey Report 2020*), and we feel it is our, youth organisations' and communities' concern and mission to train and equip youth workers and youth leaders working directly with young people to be initiative and entrepreneurial in terms of their future. The tools, methods and skills have changed within a couple of recent years, and we are eager to introduce them through quality youth work that promotes self-employment and entrepreneurial culture. Thus, the objectives of the project are the following: - to discuss modern challenges of youth entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial education in remote areas; - to exchange best practices and brainstorm solutions to modern needs and issues; - to enhance the understanding of Erasmus+ (KA1&KA2) opportunities among partners; - to strengthen synergies between organisations active in the field of entrepreneurship education; - to transform ideas into project proposals and increase success rate (idea analysis, communication, project plan, dissemination and budgeting. This project is also aligned with EU Youth Strategy. It supports the 'Empowering' pillar: to support the empowerment of young people through quality, innovation and recognition of Youth work, as all developed projects during this PBA will be aimed at target groups the organisations work with during their regular activities.
