Objectives

In a context where the economic crisis caused by COVID-19 has deepened a global crisis of values, we see a rise in racist and xenophobic discourses, with the far-right gaining influence. This social and political shift is worrying, as it leads to the polarization and dehumanization of certain groups. From the perspective of youth work, "Migrate and Resist" seeks to empower this generation to build more inclusive societies. Our goals include framing migration within its historical context, promoting cultural diversity, and understanding migration concepts. We aim to demystify misconceptions, build a positive narrative around migration, and prevent discrimination through inclusive education. By aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals for 2030, our approach focuses on working with partners to promote the rights of migrants and empower all those involved in building a more equitable society. Our vision is to achieve profound change both in the political sphere, ensuring the well-being of migrants and non-discrimination, and in the social sphere, where education and awareness are key to change. “Migrate and Resist” is structured around four key areas of work: knowledge, communication, self-perspective, and future vision. We seek to provide young people, through youth leaders, social educators, teachers, and other third-sector adults, with the tools to build intercultural and inclusive societies, establish strategies aligned with the role of migration in the SDGs, and share educational strategies that promote critical thinking. The success of "Migrate and Resist" lies in the active participation of migrants, professionals, and volunteers from the third sector.
