The idea of the project "Where is my mind" was to create a safe space for individuals to embark on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. We planned to give participants a chance to reflect on their core values, connect with their inner feelings and learn to express their authentic selves within the society. Providing the tools and environment for youth workers to learn mindfulness practices, guide them to a strong self-confidence, building resilience, and maintaining a balanced work-life structure. The increasing pressures of today's world can lead to a lack of self-awareness, stress, anxiety or even burnout. Especially in youth work, professionals often face a heavy workload and emotional strain dealing with young people and their personal struggles, while not getting sufficient time off to recover. In this complex and challenging job of supporting young people, it is necessary for youth workers to develop skills and practices that enhance their mental well-being and improve their communication abilities, fostering a deeper understanding of themselves and the people around them. This project “Where is My mind addressed the following key issues: 1) Self-Awareness: A lack of self-awareness can limit personal growth and the ability to build meaningful relationships with others. Youth workers need tools to understand their inner values, emotions, and aspirations. 2) Mental Well-being: Many youth workers experience high levels of stress and anxiety, which can hinder their ability to provide effective support to young people. There is a need for mindfulness strategies and practices that promote mental well-being and resilience. 3) Communication Skills: Communication skills are essential for building relationships and providing support. There is a need for training in communication strategies that enhance effective self expression, empathy and active listening. Aim and Objectives: The primary aim of this training course was to raise mental health awareness and equip youth workers with the knowledge, skills, and mindfulness practices necessary to enhance their self-reflection, mental well-being, and communication abilities.
